BCS House is a dwelling for 3 related families that demands both privacy and connection. The structure is composed to be able to be parted completely into two, one day, if necessary.
Massing configuration is distributed very likely in an enclosed space to achieve a comfortable orientation for the house. A wide green area on the center of the building allows a good intensity of natural lighting to get through the interior during daytime, causing a relaxing sight of trees and natural composition from almost every rooms of the house. The difference of air pressure caused by the shadow benefits the airflow inside the dwelling.
A well-composed combination of roof garden and skylight above the carport is also built as a response to the occupants’ hobbies of gardening. Moreover, the area would play a role in decreasing the heat island effect caused by the building that may affect the surrounding.
